Ok, am gearing up for our next attempt at creating DC2 next week. Whilst I am in the boring bit of my cycle I thought I would do a quick straw poll to see what others do re the every day versus every other day dilemma.

When we conceived DC1 we managed 'it' the three days prior to OV and the day of OV (we conceived on cycle 5 that time). We're now on cycle 5 second time round and have a varying track record, but mostly manage a few bedroom antics in at least the two days prior to OV and sometimes the day of OV too. I am increasingly desperate to get PG and read far too much for my own good. There seems to be some debate as to whether every day does increase your chances or whether it is detrimental. What do you reckon?

REcent research has shown that daily sex actually improves the quality of sperm in men with a normal sperm count, as long as it's not for any longer than 2 weeks. (Thank God!).

We did it daily this cycle in the week leading up to Ov. In 2ww now so will keep you posted.

I've read that providing your DH doesnt have a low count every day is fine.
Even if he did have a low count, every other day is OK.
Similar to CanNeverDecide, we did the deed every day for 5 days before OV (typically, the day I ovulated we didnt as was staying at parents).
I am 10DPO and am keeping everything crossed!

good luck everyone

Oooh, keep us posted.

So it seems most are going for the every day theory then

I read an article recently that said that couples who had sex every day during their fertile period were statistically more likely to get pg than those who did it every other day. I have been going for the every day option (although it does get a bit tiring and if im honest im glad of a bit of rest at the end of the 9 days) fingers crossed it works soon!

Every day for us too, but only starting 2-3 days before ov and continung to one day after. Usually works out at about a five day stretch, but this cycle has been very odd so we're on seven days now with two more to go and utterly exhausted. A good sense of humour helps a lot!!! I conceived twice last year this way so feel it worked for us.
