Hi I was just wondering if anyone else had any experience of this...
...just recently my periods seem to have went haywire - really long cycles and bleeding for about 3 weeks . All the more annoying because the first month it happened was the first month of ttc dc#2. cue lots of hpts and tears from me!
Anyway, I've been to the docs to get it checked out and they said it was likely just a hormonal imbalance, and they won't do anything for me at the moment. I didn't think about it at the time but this has NEVER happened to me before,so I'm starting to wonder if it could be anything to do with having a low bmi? Since having my dd i weigh round about 8stone (give or take a few pounds) and I am 5,7", which give me a bmi of about 17ish. Being this weight isn't intentional, it just seemed to be where I ended up after being pregnant and breastfeeding for a year.
So I was wondering if there was anyone else who is the same. Has having a low bmi had this affect on your periods? Or did you manage to conceive with a bmi like this?
Any advice etc greatly welcomed as I'm currently on day 40 of my clcle with no sign of AF, but a handful of negative hpts and I'm slowly driving myself round the bend.
