We are ttc our second child, only on month two and I can't possibly be pregnant already....

...but after having vowed not to get carried away my mind is playing tricks on me and all I can do is think of (probably imaginary)positive symptoms including

crampy pains from 7 DPO
slight feelings of nausea
tiredness (and show me a mum of a 16month old DD who isn't!)

please pull me back to earth as all this getting carried away is only going to end in tears

Not necessarily! We do have instincts for these things, as well as desperate hopes!!
You'll just have to wait till your period is a day or two late. Fingers crossed!

mamayaya · 06/05/2010 20:19

Let us know how you get on!

gruffalomum · 10/05/2010 11:50

Thanks ladies!

No sign of period, was due today I think although this first proper cycle after BF so can't be 100% sure.

Was weak and did a test yesterday morning, (12 DPO I think) and got the faintest of faint positives.

DH could see it too but it really was a shadow where the positive line would be if it was there...

Still feel pregnant but trying hard not to get hopes up too high. Planning to do a digital test tomorrow, or even later than that if I can hold on.

Just updating in case you are still interested...got a BFP on a CBD today! Test said conception was 1-2 weeks ago which fits with what I thought.

Hasn't quite sunk in yet but am feeling very very lucky and just hoping that all goes well from here on.

Just logged on and browsing - congratulations gruffalomum!

mummyjo1 · 13/05/2010 14:15

Hi congratulations. Did the crampy pains carry on or did they stop?

gruffalomum · 13/05/2010 15:10

Thank you jessplus2 and mummyjo1

Am very pleased, but more than a little nervous that something will go wrong, I had forgotten how nerve-wracking the first trimester is...

the crampy pains lasted for two days but then stopped. I had other symptoms that came and went during the two weeks, mainly vivid dreams, metallic dry taste in my mouth, nausea, weeing all the time, bloated tummy, looking really pale and ill and just feeling pregnant... although I was never certain whether I was imagining them all.

Are you ttc? How is it going?

We have been TTC for 2 years and am on my 2nd round of clomid. I?m now on the dreaded 2ww so I?m obsessing over every sign and symptom. I started to get cramps and sore boobs 5 days after ovulation and 8 days on I?m still getting them and my boobs still hurt but I don?t know if its AF the clomid or a little bean.

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 13/05/2010 19:33

Congrats gruffalomum

I'm glad mummyjo1 asked about the cramps, I started getting cramps 5DPO, now on 11DPO and they've suddenly stopped - so your comment has put my mind at ease a bit!

Hope all goes really well for you!

spilttheteaagain · 13/05/2010 19:51

Congrats gruffalomum, fab news!

gruffalomum · 14/05/2010 10:19

Morning all,

Thanks so much for your comments and support.

I have my fingers and toes crossed for you all...mummyjo1 you have had a long journey I really hope you have a happy outcome this month.

Hope you do too IfAtFirstUDontSucceed

I had a small amount of bleeding yesterday watery fresh red blood when I wiped...am hoping that it was implantation or just a small period type bleed and not a m/c. I did bleed twice with DD1, but at 7 weeks and 10 weeks, and dark brown blood...am trying not to worry but its hard not to.

I hope everything is ok have you been checked out by your doc? I was a permanent fixture at the surgery when I was pregnant with my ds every twinge, movement, lack of movement, cough or sneeze and I was there lol. Fingers crossed for you

gruffalomum · 14/05/2010 10:44

Thanks mummyjo1

No more bleeding so far today or overnight so am hoping everything is ok.

I'm not brave enough to doctor this early I'm worried they would think I was silly...I know you can self refer to the early preg unit at our local hospital for a scan after 6wks so I might do that...just hate all the waiting!

any news your end?

OP posts:
mummyjo1 · 14/05/2010 18:22

I?m glad things are all well I think the 12ww is even worse then the 2ww. No news or change this end.

gruffalomum · 15/05/2010 07:33

Thank you, I think you're right, although each is horrid when you are in it. Really hoping to hear that you have good news soon. I had a little more bleeding last night but am going to remain optimistic until I have definite reason to know otherwise...

Hiya, I know this thread is a bit old now but I still want to join!

I have this overwhelming urge to anonymously share my TTC drama & love life details with you all.... sorry in advance!

But to keep it to a minimum, we have SWI'd 4 times this week, all the way around the time I should be ovulating.

I was fine this time last week. Now I am like a woman obsessed. I am only about 5dpo and am symptom spotting like a mad thing, the other day I randomly thought my tea tasted of garlic and then thought "hooray, that could be a symptom!" I mean seriously I need to sit down and have a firm chat with myself.

I have also been getting quite a lot of twingey stomach cramps since Saturday and it being mid cycle I have no idea if thats just my body being temperamental or something more serious.

anyway like I said I have the strangest need to share all these boring details with the world and shall be doing so probably until, in about 10 days time, I get AF and get all moody at the same time.

Please feel free to give me a virtual smack around the chops, as this could get very dull and repetitive indeed

... or alternatively anyone else on the 2ww I would love to know I'm not the only one driving herself crazy!!
