Implantation cramps - how soon?

Hi,

We had decided to wait until next month to re-commence ttc as we're moving house, but were a little careless two days ago. I think I ov 2 days ago as well and today I've been having the most awful cramps. I've been doubled up for the last 10 minutes and it's like the worst period pain I've ever had.

I don't want to get my hopes up, and I wasn't expecting to be pregnant this month anyway, but could this pain be implantation cramps?

B

Hello, dont really have an answer for you but heres my experience this month...I had mega cramps on day 17 seemed way too early fo my period and i wondered if that may have been ovulation, now im waiting to see if this spotting is implantation or more likely my period on its way. From what i can gather it takes a few days maybe 6-12 from ovulation to implantation tho depends what you read they all say different things. So you may be ovulating today and as sperm can live a few days you may still hit lucky! I remember when we were moving house we were full of busy so didnt really try that month in fact only managed the once, a few months later dd was born!

When you say you ovulated 2 days ago, are you using OPKs? If so, the positive result indicates a surge of LH rather than ovulation itself. Ovulation usually occurs 24-36hrs after the surge so it could be that you are having ovulation pain today.

I had the impression that implantation occurs later in your cycle.

Yes, I'm using OPKs, but I was being a bit imprecise really! I got a faint line on Friday and another on Sunday, so assumed it would be about then! But you're right, it could be ovulation pains, I never thought of that.

I wouldn't be that bothered really this month as we weren't officilly trying, but it would be a nice surprise!

Thanks
