Did I have a chemical pregnancy?

Way TMI so sorry....

DH and I are ttc.

Last month, 4/5 days before AF was due, I had some brown discharge,for 4/5 days which then turned into a full on and heavy period.

This month I had brown discharge,3/4 days before AF. It then stopped and I have just found out I'm pg. I'm guessing the brown stuff was implantation bleeding.

Could last month's also have been implantatiuon bleeding but the egg just failed to stick? Is that a chemical pregnancy?

This has happened to me before and I wondered the same thing. I asked my Gynae. The answer is it could have been, but it equally could have just been a bit of a freak cycle with some odd spotting and a heavy period. You will never know. My Gynae also said even if it was, such 'subclinical failed conceptions' as she called them, are so common and that she doesn't think they increase your future mc risk. They usually go unnoticed. But congrats, you are pregnant now. Wishing you a sticky one.

I am also new on here but your posting caught my eye. I had exactly the same things last month 4/5days spotting then full on period. Now today this spotting has returned (only 21 days since my last full on period began). I am really confused as I came off the pill in January and all went back to a very normal 28 day cycle and as soon as we started TTC (from 3rd April) this happened! I dont think I am pregnant as have no other symptoms. Should I go to my GP?

I have no pregnancty symptoms either (apart froma BFP and no AF) but I didn't get any with DS until I was at least 6 weeks (only 4.5 at the moment).

From what I have managed to google, it is not an issue unless it happens all the time.

If your last period was 3rd April, and AF hasn't arrived yet - perhaps you should do a pg test!
