TTC after removal of mirena - help!

Hello, I'm new to all this TTC stuff, trying for first and looking for some help!
I just had mirena removed on 22/4, three weeks after AF on 1/4. I had some light bleeding/spotting and cramping for three days, now my AF 'proper' should be due but no sign of it - keep running to the loo convinced it has arrived but nothing!
Yesterday was having what felt like ovulation pain on the right hand side and am feeling exhausted, bloated and breasts are really tender.

Totally confused about what's happening to my body - is it just the hormones or could I actually get pregnant this quickly??? My doctor said that if I had already conceived before the Mirena was removed then it wouldn't harm the baby.

Help! x

Yes I would say it is possible, or could you just be your body adjusting. Only way to know for sure is doing a pregancy test. Good luck

Thanks
I meant to say I did a test yesterday and it was BFN , but I didn't do it first thing in the morning so it's possible it was too diluted or it's just too early. If AF doesn't arrive soon then I will try it again!

hi, my periods were all the hell for ages post mirena. dd was conceived about 14 months later. good luck

Hi - I had my first mirena removed to conceive ds2 and after a weird cycle immediately after removal I then had a normal cycle and then conceived.

I had my second mirena out a the end of March to ttc number 3 and had very heavy bleeding immediately after then a very light perid for 3 days about 2 weeks later and now seemed to have dropped back into my usual 28 day cycle as have just finished a typical 5 day AF. So am really hoping something may happen this month. I have bought some ovulation sticks just to double check i am ovulating as am control freak and need t know what is going on!!
good luck

Thanks - AF has just arrived (32 days after last one when Mirena was still in) so obviously not pregnant but hopefully this means my cycle is getting back on track.

Oiseau - I have also stocked up on the OPKs to start testing towards the end of next week... Would be good to know whether I'm ovulating or not.
My friend says ttc is like entering a whole new world of health paranoia!!
Good luck with #3!!

Your friend is right! Who knew it was all so complicated? With my first I came off the pill and got pregnant straight away - I didn't even have a period so had no idea about all the OPK, temp, EWCM etc and remained in blissful ignorance until getting number2 wasn't quite as quick!!
My top tip would be don't have sex every day, do it every other day so that there is a good dose of sperm in there IYSWIM! Think this is the mistake we made last month. I never knew time could move so slowly till I started TTC number 2 - the waiting to test is just excruciating!

Yes it makes you wonder how the human race managed without sticks to pee on
My AF is very strange though - more like spotting, though cramps are pretty bad. Think it may take a while longer to settle than I hoped!

That's wonderful to hear! How lovely

Congratulations!!

I'm on my cd 21 of 2nd cycle after having mirena removed so it's good to hear success stories.

I always thought mirena suited me and would recommend it to anyone, but since having it removed I'm a changed woman!! I feel 100% better, have so much energy, no headaches or migraines and just loads happier. Dh is stunned......but pleased lol.

Thank you!
I must say I was shocked by how fast it has happened but delighted of course. Just keeping my fingers crossed that the next couple of months go OK. Would love to tell everyone I know but feel I don't want to jinx it!
I'm trying to chill and rein in the paranoia!
