Just wondering...AF due tomorrow; but so far I think I have already got through 10 internet cheap tests!

Its almost like every BFN softens the eventual blow of AF arriving

Anyone else need to confess?

Oh god far too much! I POAS twice a day when looking for ovulation from CD12 (although this month its a good idea i did as i started my surge at about 3.30pm) and then from about 7/8dpo with internet cheapys (the hard plasticy ones as i dont trust the strips much) twice a day till AF comes. I knew this month i wasnt pg as i had no postives by 10/11 dpo and the month before when i had a chemical pg i was testing positive by 8dpo - no symptoms either.

I agree that it sort of helps to prepare you that you arent pg that month and get ready for AF coming, its the control freak in me, like i said - i just like to KNOW!

I got through 15 opk internet cheapies this month. In my defence, it was my first month testing so I had no idea when I would ov. Now 2dpo and I have a bag of 15 hpt just waiting to be used...AHHHHH I cant stand the 2ww!!! I need help.

So glad its not just me that feels the need to do it twice a day!!

Haven't got on to the OPK addiction yet...maybe next month

Lol, its very satisfying Pandasam and so when i dont get the BFP (like this month) i just think, oh well at least im ovulating ... (probably ) The thing is that internet cheapys are as good as Tesco,Asda,Sainsburys or Superdrug ones and are probably made by the same manufacturer - i bought 15 this month (shock) and im sure i only paid about £10 inc postage, its good fun and i think the addiction comes from just waiting to see that smudge of an early second line - its very disappointing when it goes back to negative though like it did last month so i think its only worth doing if you can accept that even if you do get an early BFP there is a fairly even chance that it may well go wrong.

hello ladies

i am the 25yrold desperate to start TTC, and i kid myself every month that i have pg symptoms so that i need to POAS. It doesnt help that i stop pill and then AF takes three-four days to arrive tho! getting the BFN is never a surprise but i do feel less sad when AF arrives later in week.

SparrowGirl · 28/04/2010 15:24

Every month I tell myself I'm not going to POAS until at least 2 days after my AF is due and every month I POAS about 3 days before my AF is due. Just did it again this month and got BFN...will I ever learn?!

Still, as you say I think it kind of prepares me a bit for AF arriving so it's not as bad when it turns up.

Not quite the same but when newly pg with dd I POAS every day for about a fortnight after the initial BFP

Me too Rockbird - with DS i did till about 8 weeks here and there, just loved seeing the line come up straight away
