TTC with Endo?

Was diagnosed with endo about 5 years ago now after having severe period pains since they started when i was 11. I've had 2 laps, one lot of laser, 6 months of zoladex, tonnes of painkillers, umpteen months off work, several trips to A&E doubled over in pain in the middle of the night and 5 years of being given the pill.

We started TTC 18m ago and I duely came off the pill, at the same time we moved counties so I lost my gyne consultant and my dad died. Unbelievably I had no pain just erratic periods, even they weren't painful or heavy. But this year my periods have been going on for around 2 weeks, I've never ever had them as heavy and they're so painful I can't get out of bed. My cycle is also lasting between 28 and 62 days, anybody going through or been through anything similar?

Hi there
I was successfully treated for endo with laser surgery and had dd 20 months ago.
I think that you need to go to your gp about your cycle irregularity/length though as my understanding is that it is unlikely that you're ovulating if you have very long cycles. I also think that this is unlikely to be related to the endo (I am NOT a medical expert).
Good luck

Hi babybutterfly

I would also get along to see you GP. I suffered from endo (although with no symptons other than infertility) I had a lap and had the endo lasered and became the pregant the next month. I would definitely try and get some help as I believe that endo does cause infertility in about 40% of cases, but is usually quite easy to conceive once you have it removed and before the time when it comes back.

Good luck
