Hello ladies, after a mammoth 47 day cycle hoping for a December baby, today is once again CD1 for me.

If all goes to plan this month my EDD would be Jan 30th so I thought I'd start the February bus as a positive step forward.

Am fully expecting to be on my own for a while but do come and sit beside me for the journey if you feel the need......

I think realistically, anything that appears that late is an evap line. They say read after 3 mins or whatever and then discard, sorry Try again tomorrow (says she who has just POAS for the second time today! )

Please tell me that as I'm not due on till Mon there is still a chance...?

delilahbelle · 21/05/2010 17:35

Thanks for the slap

Don't those early tests say 68% effective 3 days early? So there is at least a 32% chance they don't work and you could be pregnant.

I really want a glass of wine now, and cannot decide to or not. DH not helping - he refused to even look at the stick, and told me not to be so silly. Men.

ttcnofour · 21/05/2010 19:46

heya

i think i need a slap aswell ive poas twice 2day and af not even due till thursday (blush)

y do we get addicted 2 peein on a stick wen every time we get a bfn it lyk a kick in the teeth?

debka · 21/05/2010 20:00

Thanks for that, 8rubberduckies, I actually have PCOS too, was diagnosed at about 18, but my periods have always been regular as clockwork, although I do have the joyous facial hair and lardy arse symptoms! I conceievd DD with no bother though, I think as AF has always been so regular I am actually ovulating. Didn't know that the symptoms can come and go though.... My sister is starting to TTC and also suspects PCOS- her AFs are currently 14 days apart, and really light as well, apparently. Any hope for her do you think?

V exciting news here though- no, no, no, not a BFP but I have finished BFing today!!! DD was only having a tiny bit before bed and tonight didn't offer- straight to sleep with no bother! Think I ought to feel a bit sad but actually feel really excited!! My own woman again!

decafgirl · 21/05/2010 21:10

Grrr...husband still not home!!

8rubberduckies · 22/05/2010 07:41

debka there I am then trying to teach Grandmother to suck eggs if you already have PCOS! You are very lucky not to have any problems with your cycle because of it, but the other symptoms are bad enough aren't they?

I think the syndrome can get worse or better at certain times because of hormone fluctuations, or, for example, if you suffer from insulin resistance as part of PCOS your hormones can settle down if you lose some weight.

I don't know about your sister, but maybe both of us having dc's, and there being plenty of women who have PCOS who have children should be heartening enough! I have 3 other friends who have been diagnosed with PCOS at some point in their lives, 2 of whom have got a dc. The 3rd friend has never ttc...

Crazed symptom spotting update... I swear I had implantation pains last night; a kind of hot stabbing pain that kept coming and going, in the general area of my uterus on the right-hand side, has anyone else experienced this before a BFP? Part of me thinks I am a nutter who is grasping at straws, as I didn't even know I was pregnant til 5 weeks gone last time, but the other half of me keeps telling me that I'm a lot more tuned into what is happening with my body this time what with actively ttc, so I'm bound to notice the signs more! Roll on a week Monday....

CluckyKate · 22/05/2010 07:52

Have added you to the list bzzbee - guess you'll be crazily symptom spotting and in the know any day! Good luck

Well another BFN today, and I feel v premenstrual. Gah.

Rockbird · 22/05/2010 09:48

Sorry to hear that delilah.

I still feel sick and sore (.) (.). Not hopeful though, testing 2 days before AF with a 10miu test should have picked up anything that was there surely? So I think it's game over for me too. Oh well.

Rockbird · 22/05/2010 11:38

This is really hard, isn't it? I'm so cheesed off. How do you stop thinking about it for a whole month? I never realised how hard it must be for couples trying month after month after month.

Rockbird · 22/05/2010 12:06

I'm out. AF just got me. I've never been this early in my life! Bugger it. I'll stay here though if that's ok as next cycle would give an EDD at the end of Feb.

af just arrived im absolutley gutted and 6 days early (confused)!!!!!

Rockbird · 22/05/2010 13:30

I'm confused too, that's 29 days for me, it's never that short.

ttcnofour · 22/05/2010 14:30

my cycle is 28 days always ever since i started havin af as a teenager and this month 6 days early xx

Prinpo · 22/05/2010 16:10

Hello all,

Missed a couple of days so just been catching up with everyone's news. Sorry to those who AF has just got (glad you can still hop on the end of the bus, though). Welcome to new people.

Need to google PCOS. I had a scan after last mc which found cysts on my ovaries. Nothing was really said about them, I was just told they were there and told they were quite common. I'm also 73 stone and have a full beard . Ok, not quite, but this warm weather is really making me feel as though I need to shape up and de-frizz a bit! I've been hiding under winter clothes for too long.

decaf, hope DH got home at a reasonable hour and gave you a jolly good seeing to.

debka · 22/05/2010 20:30

Yes yr right 8rubberduckies, there is plenty of hope for my sis- my mum was just the same as her and she has 3 dc's! (all with PCOS though- thanks Mummy!)

I will be testing a week Monday too- fingers crossed for us both

Prinpo glad I'm not the only one here weighing 73 stone and with a beard !!

debka · 22/05/2010 20:31

Bad luck rockbird, but wait and see what AF does- maybe not AF???

8rubberduckies · 22/05/2010 20:56

Sorry you got got rockbird and ttcnofour, there's still time on the bus though, you may well graduate before this bus's final stop, you never know!

prinpo Sorry about your mc, polycystic ovaries are quite common, apparently 1 in 3 women will suffer from it to some extent at some point in their lifetimes, but it can still cause all sorts of nightmares if you're trying to conceive. There is also a slightly higher risk of mc once you are pregnant if you have the syndrome as well. You can have the cysts without the syndrome apparently, don't know quite how this works, but I reckon it's worth looking into more and arming yourself with some info about it.

Yawn I'm really bored with this 2ww thing. Part of me does not trust this temping lark and thinks I should still be shagging away still, but a much larger part of me just cannot be arsed . Roll on a week Monday. I'm off camping next weekend with a big bunch of boozy mates and will have to explain why I'm not getting pissed after ds put to bed, and they will probably think I'm already pg. How tiresome. Would be better to know either way by then...

bzzbee · 22/05/2010 22:19

Yikes are we supposed to give up alcohol during the 2ww...?

ttcnofour · 22/05/2010 22:49

i hope so 8!

i dont mind a march baby tho as long as i get 1 lol.

the 2ww is the worst in it i spend it constantly wondering if i am or not.

i feel lyk i spent the 2 weeks either poas or thinkin bou poas. is anyone the same?

Rockbird · 22/05/2010 23:35

Yep, I've been totally obsessed burt I'm obsessive with everything. I must have done a dozen tests this last week and nothing. Even now I'm not over it. I still feel really sick and weirdly crampy, totally unlike anything I normally get. Am keeping an eye on the mooncup (sorry TMI!) but things seem to have slowed down. Gah!

bzzbee · 23/05/2010 09:11

Hi rockbird, how old is your dc1? Was ttc #1 like this or did it 'just happen'?
I can feel myself slowly becoming a bit obsessed as well, a bit too busy this month to do any testing etc, as we've had loads of visitors and stuff on, but it's always in the back of my mind whenever I feel a twinge etc. AF due today (what does AF stand for BTW?)...tempted to buy a test but trying to hold off, feel classic pmt anyway

Rockbird · 23/05/2010 09:49

Aunt Flo (horrible term but the best we've got, particularly as I have actually got decorators in at the moment so it could all get confusing )

DD is 2.4yo and we got lucky on first cycle with her. Hadn't discovered MN then so didn't get so obsessive about it and hardly thought about it. Tested on the off chance on the day AF was due and there it was. So easy to assume it'll be that easy this time which is daft.

If you haven't got any tests in the house then I'd hold off for a bit. I stocked up on cheapies so was testing every time I went to the loo, which was crazy. Not buying any more of them.

rosieposey · 23/05/2010 15:39

Well i think im out this month too, tested the last couple of days and nothing at all - due AF tomorrow or Tuesday and something would have shown up by now (if was going by my previous pgs. Rubbish

delilahbelle · 23/05/2010 16:06

Started spotting today, AF will be here tomorrow.
Regular as clockwork, dammit.

This is only the 2nd cycle of me trying since MC in Feb tho, so hopefully my body just needs to get a bit more back to normal or something. At least AF is regular.

rockbird I too will not be buying any more cheap tests - I will not be testing until I am at least a day late, need to save money more than anything
