Hi all. Wonder if any of you ladies out there can answer a question or ten for me to give me an idea before my doctor's appointment...

I was having the contraception injection (the one that lasts 12 weeks) but my doctor advised me tocome offit as she said there was a school of thought linking it to depression and as I had recently been diagnosed with PND and so she didn't want to risk it...

so my question is, is there a 'grace period' whereby you can't get pregnant if the injection is slightly overdue? Think I may have got the dates wrong so we thought we were covered by it but may not have been!

We definately want another baby so it's not disastrous ( have one of 11 years and one of 14 months) but don't have the money or the space currently|

Anyway, just wondered if anyone had any pearls of wisdom to share....also about when to take a test as I have no idea when/if I'm ovulating as not had a period since I started the injection 6months ish ago. Thanks.

Can only tell you that it took 6 months to get a period. Can't say if I was ovulating during the time but it took a further 3 months to get pregnant ie 9 months in total coming of the pill.
