6 negative tests but still no period!

HI there, my period is now 17 days late but I have done 6 tests, including the First Response ones, and they are all negative! I am normally completely regular so something must be up. We have been TTC since early March. But if I am pregnantm how can 6 tests all be wrong?

Has this happened to anyone else and they have found out that they are pregnant after all despite negative tests? I went to the doc today and he gave me a blood test. Results due on Tues!

Hi papoose do you chart your temps? Are you sure you ovulated? It's possible for even the most fertile and healthy ladies to have the odd anovulatory cycle now and again. If you don't ovulate (or ovulation is delayed) then AF is delayed as well.

Hope it helps, I'm on an anovulatory cycle myself this month; there's a few of them around at the mo unfortunately.

Not what you want to hear I know but I have very occasionally missed a period, and absolutely was not pregnant.

Hi Papoose, I was in this exact same position last month. I came off the pill in February and started ttc, then was four weeks late for my period. Very upsetting, getting negative tests and symptom spotting. Have been told its quite normal for your period to be a bit out of synch for a while...still not nice though. I'm not saying your not pg but this is what happened to me

Oh so I guess the general consensus is that I am not pregnant! Oh ear I had kind of convinced myself that I might be (despite 6 neg tests!). Well I shall find out for sure on Tues! Thanks all.

I had been pg for 8 weeks + 3 days before I got a positive hpt. This inlcuded 3 missed periods, various hpt brands, 4 blood tests and even an abdominal ultrasound at hospital none of which picked up the pregnancy. By the time I finally found out and went for a scan it was too late and I had had a missed miscarriage.

This time around I am acting like I am pregnant even if I am probably not. If there's even a tiny chance I could conceive then I want to be off the caffeine/ alcohol/ crap food and doing all the right things just in case.

Anyway, thats just the other side of the coin, the tests aren't always right so be warned! Look after yourself! however you are probably doing all the right things anyway if you are ttc though. So good luck!

Oh thanks LoopuLou, that is interesting, though of course I am so sorry to hear about your mc. How awful for you. I hope that you are pregnant this time. I am also being very careful re alcohol etc, and behaving as if I am pregnant, just in case. I will let you know what happens on Tues.

,period late by 3 weeks i was expecting my date of mensuration on 28th april but i dint got,i am always regular with periods,i took pamilon contraceptive pills for 2 months (feb and march..i was having regular periods then also)i left those pills ....now its almost 2 months now since i left pamilon..i missed my periods of april and then i did urine and blood test after 10 days it showed negative then doc prescribed my duphaston(dydrogesterone 10mg tablets)2 tablets a day (for 5 days) to get periods and i completed the tablets duphaston but now its more that a week but still no periods. im worried pls help what might be the reason..im not overweight and hav 2 kids ,29yrs female
