Cannot figure them out
I know the first line is supposed to be the same or stronger than the test line.
But how long to you have to "capture" the LH surge? If I test every morning, should I catch it? I have tested and thought the line was stronger and then tested again and it's gone lighter. Do I just have a small window of opportunity to catch the LH surge?

Hope this makes sense!!

Okay, I don't know about first response specifically, but once every 24 hours should be often enough to detect the surge. I do struggle with the non digital ones though as I'm never quite sure whether it is the same or stronger etc. Some also say first morning urine is not best and you should do it in the afternoon (at the same time every day) but this is a pain as you have to not wee for four hours beforehand! I can't manage that with my postnatally challenged bladder . Having said that I always use first morning urine with digital ones (clearblue) and always detect a surge each month (for all the good it does!)

Anyway, a really good source of info about ovulation tests is at www.peeonastick.com and there are probably loads of previous threads on ovulation tests on here if you search.

HTH!

Don't want it to go unanswered but to be honest, I do not know. I use clearblue digital, which should be enough to do once a day. It has been so far for me - I use it in the mornings. I think most of them work on once a day basis, but then I know that some ladies on here had few days of surge . I told you I did not really know!!

There you go, lilysma has a better answer!

that's a great site, thanks lilysma,
Fairy, I think any test is probably similar.
I think I just needed to know how long it can be positive for and if I could miss it
