Private Ultrasound early scans after MC

Hi Ladies,

I've recently MC'd and am newly pregnant again - very very nervous and was at the GP today. She said that as I've 'only MC'd once' there is no need for an early scan. Obviously that's good she doesn't see the need but I'm personally interested in having an early scan and am happy to pay for it etc.. just wondering if anyone had any advice on this?

I'm up North East way..

Hello!

Congratulations on being pregnant again! I had a miscarriage in feb 2009 diagnosed by a private scan and I had another private scan when I became pregnant again after that. My scans were with BabyBond and I can highly recommend them having had both bad and good news from them and they dealt with the two situations very kindly.

Your Gp won't be interested unless you've had 3 miscarriages.

I now have a 7 week old baby so I'm living proof it can all work out in the end.

Can I suggest you join me on another thread. Its a group of us who have all had 1 or more miscarriages and we now vary from the still trying to conceive to the 6 month old baby stage and everything inbetween. I found them brilliant support through the early very scared stage of my 2nd pregnancy. We welcome newcomers! I'll do a link.
