But couldn't be bothered. I normally ov around CD 17-18, and it's CD 10 for me now, but have just had stretchy (maybe 1 1/2 inches) yet creamy CM. TCOYF doesn't talk about this! Temps not gone up yet. What do you think?

TBH I find TCOYF categories for CM don't really tally all that much with what I experience - e.g. I'm not really sure whether ever have 'sticky' or 'crumbly' CM .

But stretchy is surely good??!

Hi littlesilver I'm in a very similar situation. I am on day 6 - just finished period yesterday and today I noticed that I have egg white stretchy cervical mucus already. I did think that surely that can't be right - it must be too early. But I figured that last month i did have it for a few days in a row so perhaps that would take me close to just before ovulation at about day 14.

Anyway, from what I can gather anything stretchy is good news as it helps the little fellas get a leg up so i'm just gonna go for it and shag tomorrow and keep doing it as long as I have the stretchy stuff. Perhaps you should do the same - can't do any harm can it .

hippychick are you quite young? I think if you are you can have more EWCM than someone older? LOet's hope SWIing if effective!

Ahh If only I were young. I'm 43!!! I was reading in my Toni whatshername book that women in there 20's have 5 days of egg white and I was rather pleased cos I had 5 days last month and perhaps am having the same this month. I did get pregnant in December quite easily and maybe that's cos I have the egg whites of a 20 year old - whoop whoop. Unfortunately i did have a MMC in Feb which is more than likely becasue of my age. So it's all swings and roundabouts.
