I have not done this before, but really would like some advice....

Was not trying to get pregnant but the doctor seems to think that maybe I am pregnant. I went to see him with swollen tummy, boobs, terrible moods, back pain and constant peeing. I came off the pill 2 weeks ago cos I thought it was causing all the above.
Because my periods have been painful since having my first a year ago and thought the pill was making it worse.

But I don't think I can be pregnant because the preg tests have come up negative, and the only time I think it could have happened would make me around the 5 weeks mark. If that is the case, the preg tests should be coming up positive by now.....??

The doctor has told me to do a preg test each week for the next 3 weeks and see what happens.

That seems forever, and I am more worried that something else that is causing it.

Please tell me what you think.....?

How late are you? I'm currently on CD 55 and have had negative tests every week for the last four weeks. I'm going to the doctor on Tuesday to see if any light can be shed on it. I stopped the pill just after Christmas, had one normal 28-day cycle, and no AF since then! I have no answers, but thought you might like to know you're not the only one in a confusing limbo

I am in the same position too infact my dates are nearly identical to giraffes and have been feeling awful. Sick peeing lots etc. Would love to know what the doc says as don't know if to go or not. I have been testing weekly but still bfn. I know not much help but just to say I know how u feel!

bobby,

If your GP has no idea you should be referred to a gynae for further evaluation. No ifs or buts. Doing a pg test every week for the next three weeks seems like a pointless exercise.

You mention that your periods have been painful for the last year; has anyone ever mentioned endometriosis being a possibility here?.

Thanks for your responses. Nice to know I am not the only one in a situation like this.

I stopped taking the pill two weeks ago. Gp said I should have had a normal period when I stopped taking it and thats whats late.

I am tempted to go back and ask for a blood test, but think I will wait a week maybe and see. Was having tummy pain last night and really thought my period was coming today, but not so far.

When I was pregnant before I had period like pains but no period come, did a preg test and that was that. This is all very confusing......
