Do you know anyone who got pregnant when using condoms or am I crazy?!

Hello All,

As you can see I have changed my name for this question! The reason being that although I admit to being obsessed with TTC and slightly crazy too I don't want people to know just HOW CRAZY I've become! I can barely admit to myself that I am entertaining this idea!

Short story is dh and I have taken a break from TTC for a couple of months (won't go into reasons or I'll out myself!) and so have been using condoms.

However, I have been having a range of suspicious symptoms and am trying to convince myself that it is not possible to get pregnant when you're using a condom so I don't get my hopes up that I am- I still desperately want to be pregnant and fear that I have convinced myself I am despite us using condoms! See, told you I had gone mad!

I ovulated on day 19 of my cycle (according to Fertility Friend ) and am now on day 33 which is the day I expect my period to arrive but as yet there is no sign of it... FF says I should test on the 24th, which I will do if no sign of my period by then, but until then I wondered whether you, or anyone you knew, had got pregnant whilst using condoms?

I know people who have; in one case she was on the Pill and used a condom, and only had sex once in the whole month, and still fell. Mind you, she was 18.

But, when we started using condoms I managed to convince myself every month that I was pregnant. And I never was.

DC3 was a condom baby!!!! Huge shock but lovely one!!! With DC2 we tried for ages to fall - it was stressful, non romantic legs in the air kind of trying, and after months of this, decided to just stop, relax and enjoy sex for sex's sake....

that's when DC2 happened!

Dh and I have used condoms for 15 years without getting pregnant (got pg straight away when not using them).

If your temp hasn't gone up by now (unless you have very long cycles) then I would guess you aren't pg. Also, why are you still obsessing over FF if you aren't trying

I know how you feel because I was you but condoms aren't a massively popular form of contraception because they are crap!

Thanks for your quick responses- nice to know I'm not the only one tortoise!

I know lessveg... I am still obsessing under the guise of keeping track of my cycles I am not long off the pill(cycle 3) and cycles are still a little unpredictable.
