Hi Mumsnetters

My Af was due on the 5th March, I have a regular 28 day cycle and have done since I eas 13..................I am now 38. I had very painful stomach cramps thurs and a few twinges fri and then nothing since. The cramps were very typical of cramps I normally get but I've had no blood loss. Has anyone had a AF with cramps and other usual symptoms but no blood loss, sorry if I sound stupid.

I don't think I'm pregnant as my husband and I use condoms and as i recall their were no mishaps.

I'd be very interested to here from anyone thats had a similar experience..

Hmmmmmmmmmmm.

DH and I used condoms. No mishaps.

Day of period turned up, cramps, sore boobs, no bleeding.

I was pregnant.

I think you need to do a pregnancy test.

queenoftheslatterns · 07/03/2010 11:56

do a test.

OMG really! This really isn't what I wanted to here, but thanks for your honesty. My husband is away with work now until next friday so at least I've got time to find out for sure, don't want to scare him half to death if not necessary...........we already have dd 16 and DS 13 and wasnt planning anymore! Will keep you posted!.

there can be other reasons for being late - stress, illness, getting older.

Yes, stress and illness when you ovulate can delay ovulation and consequently delay your period. Any stress or illness a couple of weeks ago?

Can also be the start of hormonal changes that come to us all.

Get a test and put your mind at rest. Deal with the possibility of a pregnancy once it's confirmed. It might not be that.
