42 day cycle - what does this mean?

Hi all,

Not yet TTC but am charting because we will be TTC at some point and wanted an idea about my cycle.

Cycles are consistently 42 days, and from the chart it looks like I ovulate on day 28.

Just wondering if anyone knows about long cycles and what they mean...

I've heard that it's possible with long cycles to not ovulate at all but still see the temp shift - is this true?

think the reliable way to see if you have ovulated is blood test to check progesterone. This is usually done on day 21 but if you suspect you are later you can have it done day28. hth
