How long for cycles to get back to normal after Mirena removal?

Hello TTCers, mind if I join you?

I had the mirena coil removed mid-January, and AF started a few days later (lets call that day 1) and lasted 8-9 days but pretty light (sorry if TMI).

We SWI only once since then, being very lazy , on day 20.

Now on day 45 and no AF - but no pregnancy symptoms at all either, and I had BFN with expensive "6 days before you're due" sticks on days 32 and 37, which I thought were pretty conclusive.

Can it take a while for things to settle down after coil removal? I don't feel remotely pregnant - last time I was horribly sick from 7 days post conception and got a really clear BFP 12 days after conception.

Hi
I had a similar experience. Had my mirena removed in October and then had a period shortly after. My next period didn't come for 42 days by which point I had done loads of tests and had convinced myself that I had developed lots of 'symptoms'. Anyway next cycle was 36 days and then down to 32 days and yesterday I had two BFP tests!
So yes it does seem to take a little while - good luck!!

After I had my mirena removed, i had a period the next day. Then I had a few cycles that were very short 22 -24 days ish. My GP said it is quite common for cycles to be short after the coil.

I did get a BFP after 5 months (7 cycles) but unfortunately had a MMC recently .

I am now waiting to see how the cycles come back after that.

I have heard people say they got pregnant immediatley after coil removal but in my case it did take a few cycles and they were quite short.

Good luck!

Thank you both for replying - so sorry to hear about the MC hippychick

AF today, I didn't know 47 day cycle was possible... looks like I might expect a few more loooong cycles too from your experience teddysmam.
