Sorry to be a bore.

I am on day 23 of my cycle. I'm not ttc (although wouldn't be end of world) but we had a contraception failure on day 8 of my cycle and am now feeling distinctly pregnant - strange taste in mouth, nauseous, sore breasts, ravenous. Similar-ish to symptoms of AF but it's the taste in the mouth and the very very sore breasts that are giving me suspicions.

Waste of time testing?

Depends. When did you ovulate? How long's your cycle?

I tested positive with both pregnancies at 9dpo, 6 days before my period was due.

The danger with early testing is that either it's negative but you're not sure if it's just too early or it's positive and there's a chance of cp that you wouldn't have otherwise known about.

32 days-ish. To be honest it varies between 28-34 days.

I have no idea when I ovulated. Not tracking my fertility.

I will probably leave it to see if my period is late...

That's probably the best way. If you get to 33/34 days with no period then test.

I just know when I ovulate as I can feel it like a small but very real hgv trundling round my reproductive organs, no tracking required!

It depends on the sensitivity of the test tbh. But most tests will pick up a pregnancy on the day your period is due with a good degree of reliability.

Like I say, I got a + test 6 days before my period was due but with a 10miu sensitivity.

Thanks all. Found a Clearblue digital test in the depths of my bathroom cupboard and got a BFN. Serves me right! Will leave it until (or if) period is late.
