Asherman's Syndrome

Hi, I have just been referred to a consultant for suspected Asherman's Sydrome following a D & C 3 months ago. I just wondered if anyone had suffered with this, what their symptoms had been and what course of treatment they had had and whether it had been successful. From what I've read the treatment involves at least 2 operations and courses of hormones therapy. Any personal experiences would be greatly appreciated as slightly freaking out here

Thanks

Hi

I was very scared that I had scarring after erpc as it took 9 weeks for period to return. I did a lot of reading around this. Apparently, there are only 2 consultants who have a high degree of specialism in Asherman's in the UK. Adrian Lower (London Fibroid Clinic) is one of them - google him. He uses minimal invasive treatments. I read that you have to really make sure that the consultant doing a procedure is highly skilled. I am guessing you have been on ashermans.org, which is where I got my info from.

All the best.

Thank you Sh77, yes I believe the 2 consultants are Mr Lower (that you mention) and Mr Trew, I have an appointment to see Mr Trew as he has treated me for other problems in the past so made sense to see him again rather than Mr Lower.
