Is 5dpo too early for boobs to hurt if pg?

Obviously I am not pregnant because we have been trying for two years so why would this month be different to any other but my boobs hurt today. Usually they hurt in run up to my period but I am only 5dpo today. Would this be too early to be a sign? I was also ravenously hungry though that could be because it was cold.

I would do a test, first response is what i used and i was 7 days before my period was due and it was posative. As you say it could be your period and you may be lookng for something that isnt there, boobs hurting can be due to being pregnant or periods, its never too early for that cause mine hurt, ravenous I cant explain, dont be dishartened if you have been trying for a while. Stranger things have happened and cross fingers for you that the test is posative

hi,i got a positive on digital test yesterday,8dpo. My boobs hurt too and i am starving all the time. Even though i was sure it was too early i still did a test.I would suggest doing a test in a few days.I have short cycle length so that might be why i got positive so early. good luck

This happened to me too - my boobs starting hurting about 4/5 dpo and I got my first bfp this month, it was my first obvious symptom as my boobs often hurt before my period but never usually so early on. Hope its a good sign for you.

Thanks all - won't test yet but maybe I will on Sat or Sun as big weekend planned so would be good to know re drink. They feel funny today soon but feel as they usually do pre period just happens to be earlier.

Hi Yellowflowers - I've got sore boobs too and it started about a week ago, along with an aching back and slight cramps. Am hoping these are pregnancy signs, but who knows?!

My period's due around Saturday/Sunday so am holding out til then as I hate the disappointment of a BFN.

Fingers crossed for us both - although my period will probably ruin everything and show up as normal

My boobs hurt from about 5 days PO last month. And not normal hurt but really painful tingly nipples, so painful I had to take paracetamol to sleep and then the pain would wake me when it wore off at about 4am.

AF came right on day 28 as usual.

I have this too, not sure exactly when i ov'd but boobs have been tender for a week now, and I've been really thirsty? Did first response yesterday and BFN but AF not due until sat/sun, so will do another test sun am if no AF. But this is my first month pill free and TTC so it could be down to wild hormones from coming off the pill. I so want to be pg though, had to wait mths to come off the pill due to medical treatment last year, so have been desperate to ttc for ages. Baby dust for all of us!

Yellowflowers - i don't know if you remember me ( i think I used to have a different nickname but can't remember what it was) but have posted a few times on threads with you over the last 2 years so recognise you! Anyway, I just wanted to say that I too like you, have been ttc for 2 years (although I do already have a dd who is 5) and am now amazingly 8 weeks pg with sore boobs being the first give away sympton although I thought it was because af was on the way. so I just wanted to say that you never know?! really hope it happens for you.

Mine used to hurt from about 3dpo all the way up till I got my period, for me it was a sign that I'd ovulated, not that I was pregnant. If this is different than what normally happens for you, then maybe it is a sign. But boobs can definitely hurt without being pregnant.

thanks Yellowflowers - no nothing different at all really apart from my DH was under a lot less stress and we had just been referred to a fertility clinic so I don't know if we were generally more relaxed or if it was just sheer luck (likely to be the latter I reckon) - we had pretty much given up and had made quite significant changes in our lives to help us move on (not just with this!) I'm still not getting excited though -not until I've had that scan at 12w - there are too many heartbreaking stories on here for me to relax about it yet.

I really hope you get your BFP too - good luck.

Any news yet yellowflowers? I'm on cd33 now but my cycles tend to be anywhere between 32-35 days so I'm holding out til day 36 if there's still no sign of my period by then.

Any BFP's for anyone yet?

Yes, I'm afraid it is a 'could I be pregnant? one

I had a contraception failure 15 days ago (I was on day 8 of my cycle, no idea when I ovulated as not keeping a track of my fertility, but I have a roughly 32 day cycle).

So, I am now on day 23 of my cycle. I have symptoms that are usual signs for me of getting AF and early pregnancy (hard for me ton distinguish between the two) - slight nausea, extreme hunger, tiredness - but also have tender, painful breasts which isn't usual for me this early on before AF.

Is it too early to test? I have always left it until my period was late to test before, so not sure about these things..

Im now 9 days past ovulation with a BFN using first response this morning yet my breast are unusually large. They are quite painful from right oafter ovulation until AF.

Hi I know this a really old post but did your ever get pregnant? I also get sore boobs from after ovulation all the way to AF. If you did get pregnant was the boob pain pattern the same , like the month u got pregnant did your boob pain start from 3dpo and just carry on until BFP? Thanks

Ok so at 1 June i got ovulation day and at 4dpo i got breast pain . I got pain when my period come i mean 4 days before period i think but that's so early and then at 6dpo i got light belly cramps and at 7-8 it become more worse and i felt pulling in belly and now i am 10dpo and i am feeling my belly is full and heavy and pain but my boobs are not hurting i did a pregnancy test at 8po there i got a light line then i take another one next day then it was lighter than before I don't know why!!! Is it happen to anyone else? I am not sure m pregnant or not!!Confused

I also have low bp about 100/73 or 99/75
I didn't ever get a high or low bp i am also feeling dizzy from 3 days
