I love the book entitled 'Taking Charge of your Fertility'.

It teaches you three reliable ways of knowing when you are ovulating.

Once you have paid for the book the only associated costs are a thermometer, pen and paper.

HTH.

I can second that book it is very good - I can now tell straight away just looking for the signs when I am ovulating.

Or one of those saliva testers, about £17 from ebay and lasts a couple of years. Search for calisthenics ovulation test

I've ordered the book

Do the saliva tests work Privet?

The saliva ferning tests are discussed in the book...

According to my edition, the tests can be tricky to interpret.

I hope you find the book helpful. I certainly have.

if you've got a smartphone there are free applications to help you monitor all your monthly changes (temp, discharge texture etc) and do the maths for you.

PrivetDancer · 22/02/2010 21:47

I'm not sure tbh, I only got mine this month but there did seem to be a bit of ferning at the right sort of time!

Just realised my phone must have auto-corrected - I meant search for 'calista ovulation test'
