Does anybody know how long (if at all) you need to wait before trying again after a failed AI/IUI attempt?

Thanks

You can start straight away. I had 2 cycles of IUI with ovulation induction (Menopur) - got BFN after first cycle on the Saturday, period arrived on the Monday, and I went for my baseline scan on the Tuesday with first injection that evening. 2nd cycle resulted in DD

Thanks Tatty - congrats on DD! To ask a very personal question... was that with a DH/DP with a very low sperm count? Thanks.

No, the reason that we had IUI was due to me having Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. I don't ovulate, hence the need for Menopur - the actual IUI was just to get the timing as precise as possible once they had triggered ovulation.

Thanks Tatty. I'm having IUI for a different reason - post gazillion miscarriages. On the first attempt I fell pregnant with my DD. Which could have been due to very good luck (we were due some) or the medication improving the quality of my eggs (I had unexplained infertility). Now we are ttc second DC and my DH sperm quality has diminished significantly in the meantime. It was fine first time round now there are only 4% that can be used! Dr finds it is very odd to have such a dramatic difference in 2 yrs. DH will be retested at the end of the month. He has been sick and stressed so hoping that's the cause instead of a fall in his fertility.

So I'm not sure if DH needs time to 'restock' between attemps if his sperm count is still very low.

Sorry for the life story!
