Says it all really, pretty sure I was, then had spotting and now my AF is being totally different from normal, TMI alert...too much yukky brown sludge and not much red and been going on for 8 days. What I really want to know is will this affect my next chance of TTC this month? Thanks in advance.

i was pregnant a few month ago and had a blood which was bright red then turned brown i was refered to be scaned at 8 weeks but i lost it. thought i was again and did test came up pos then put in pocket and it faded then on sat started to spot blood, i still think i am oh not sure. the hospital advises to wait til you have a normal period before trying again but you should be fine any worries call nhs or talk to doctor

nipper have you retested at all?? brown 'blood' is old and not counted as AF as AF is the red blood stage. i get brown spotting before and after AF but my GP said not to count it as it can just be your body gearing up for AF IYSWIM i also had brown spotting (which i assumed was the start of AF when i was actually pregnant with DD i say test again and take it from there good luck!

Thank you ladies for taking the time to reply. So there is so much out there to read and I end up getting so confused. I am defintately haing AF now, as bright red...so at least I know.

thanks nipper but DD is 4 now i am a long term TTCer 2.5 years and counting no not preg unfortunately
