Ovulation pains and ovulation timings?

TTC#2 and this is my first month off the pill, I've been having mild twinges and cramps, like mild PMT, from day 8 to day 15 of my cycle, these have now stopped today, quite suddenly, day 15, and they probably peaked day 13&14. I'm guess that these were ovulation pains? Having been on the pill for most of the last 17 years except for a break of 3mths to get pregnant with dd (5 years ago)! so I'm not really sure if thats what they were. But assuming they probably were and they've now stopped quite suddenly do you think that means I ovulated while I was having pains? Or will that have happened today - do I need to persuade DH to keep bd with me for the next few days?! Have been bd every day since day 5 (his birthday was day 7) but he's getting a bit tired now!
I did have shortish cycles last break and before I went on the pill, 26-29 days, so I'm assuiming I've probably ovulated already, but any info would be useful.
Ta.

Ovulation pains at most only last a dew hours and certainly not days. If this type of pain keeps happening (during the next say 3 months) I would get this particular issue investigated further.

Make love when you both feel like it and do not put undue pressure on yourselves to conceive. Sex two or three times a week throughout the cycle is fine, you do not have to have sex everyday unless of course you both want to.

Ovulation is not an exact science and it can happen earlier, later or not at all in any given cycle.

Thanks, I do remember last time when I came off the pill I had some strange pains, but can't remember when in my cycle. I think its probably the hormones kicking in now the pill has worn off. I never realised ovulation pains were only a few hours before, thats really helpful.
I'm not forcing dh to bd every day!, but he did say yesterday that a day off would be ok. I'll try and relax and see what happens, I'm just aware that things can take longer now I'm older so want to give it the best chance if there is an egg waiting there.
I did have some treatment last year for abnormal cells on my cervix, so I've had to wait until I got over that before TTC and I'm concerned that the treatment may have affected things too. Its not supposed to affect fertility, but I'll have to see what happens. Would just like to get pg sooner rather than later as I'm getting older and have been desperately keen to start ttc for months but have had to wait for treatment and recovery etc. Will try and relax and just wait and see.
