Hi Ladies,

Well, today is a bad day!
Started AF, and she decided that she was going to wait again.. for 3 days..
My story in short form.
have two boys, 8 and 12- remarried in 07 and have been trying for a baby with Dh since dec 06- still nothing,oh.. 1 pregnancy, which ended at 6weeks.
I dont drink, smoke, am quite active,I do like coffee, but not all day,and eat well.

Have bought every available sperm friendly thing on the market, saliva testers,blah blah blah.. I am neurotic.Which is probably my problem.
Getting more and more hard to accept that I am not getting pregnant, and yet no one gives me answers.
I will be 37 in march, and don't feel old, but feel my body is letting me down,
My fsh was 10.5 last month and day 21 test was 31... all ok according to the fertility clinic,
so.. was going to give angus castus a go.. just wanted to know when and how to take it.

Hope someone can shed some light on this for me.

You mention yourself being tested but what about your man?. Has the clinic looked at him because they should do.

Have they ever tested your DH, male factor problems ought to be either confirmed or ruled out. BTW you need up to date test results for both of you, any result over six months old needs to be discounted.

Forget all the friendly to sperm stuff, its all a load of old bunkum designed purely to part you from your cash. If there is a male factor problem all these vitamin pills and the like will not make a hill of beans difference to count and or morphology (form of sperms). What you need instead are definative results on both of you in terms of ovulation as regards to hormone levels and semen analysis.

Do not use AC unless there is definative proof you are not ovulating; this can do more harm than good and "natural" does not always mean safe.

I would also be looking to get a second opinion from another unit.

Yep, DH was tested and all was fine. I have even made another appointment for him for another semen annalysis just incase. But last time all was good.
Our fertility doctor said we are both fine, its just "unexplained infertility" .
It just drives me nuts that the medical industry can do so many things yet not give me a simple answer.
I am having another fsh test tomorrow as it will be day 2, and will have day 21 again.
I have just gone and bought a BBT kit from boots and also the pregnacare pre conception vitamins.
I do ovulate, I know that. So I will stay away from the AC.

Ah that old chestnut "unexplained infertility". This is actually no diagnosis at all, all this means is that they have failed to find out to date what is wrong.
Sometimes too it is a "diagnosis" given to couples when they have not been adequately investigated. I can give you a list of tests that often get missed off.

In your case I would be seriously looking to now get a second opinion.

BTW is this a private clinic or is this NHS?.

They should also be looking at your LH levels on day two as well as your FSH levels.

Be wary of using the BBT kit as well, apart from anything else you are well beyond that initial stage of investigation. I know you want to do something but you need to channel your energies into properly seeking answers and not being fobbed off.

Also many gynaes do not take any notice of such charts primarily because they are so unreliable. I'd be looking at the blood test results instead.

What can Agnus Castus do? I didn't know it could be harmful.
