Folic acid - any time limit?

Hi, I know you're supposed to take folic acid for three months or so before TTC, but what if you're trying for a year or more? Does it matter if you're still taking Folic acid? Will it do any harm?

TIA!

doesn't do any harm as long as you take the normal pregnancy level. There was a news story a few years ago about problems with folic acid, but those women were taking many times the recommended dose.
