Strange Pains - Implantation

Hello my name is Becky, I recently had an ectopic pregnancy and had methotrexate treatment for this 3 months ago. My partner and I have just started trying to conceive again as of this month. I ovulated on the 30th January (positive LH test).

I am now CD24 and have been experiencing what I would describe as shooting pains in my vagina. Not like cramps in my abdomen but actually up inside near my cervix. I do not feel particularly pregnant but didn't with my son (who is now 6).

I was wondering if anyone else had had similar implantation pains? I have not had any bleeding and am going to wait for my period before I decide to do a pregnancy test but I just wondered if implantation bleeding could be the reason for these pains.

I am hoping that it doesn't mean I am having another ectopic, but I suppose I wouldn't be feeling the implantation in the uterus if it had implanted elsewhere. Please let me know what you think... I might not turn out to be pregnant but for now this gives me a bit of hope. If not, just try again next cycle....

Hello, I am afraid I can't answer your question, but have had very similar this cycle (pain like the stingy cervix-stretching pain you can get in labour), plus bad period-type cramps. Am also on CD 24, and had these on CDs 21, 22 and (slightly) 23, but not today (which I think were days 6-8 post ov, although could be a day out either way - didn't test for Ov just guessed / read signs).

I miscarried at 5+1 on 17 January but it's just felt like a normal cycle (if you take first day of MC as CD 1) since, apart from the strange pains, which I'm really hoping might be implantation-related (although am in a frame of mind to be clutching at straws!). Didnt have anything like this with DS though (or preg which I MC'd), and not testing at until Sunday at earliest.

Will watch this thread with interest. Fingers crossed for you.

Thanks for your input. I have started my period as of this Wednesday so the pain I was feeling sadly was not implantation . I am a bit disappointed but will be trying again this cycle. How are things with you? Where are you from? x x x
