I am starting IVF this month, first time.....Had my AMH blood test done and once results back on that then protocol will start. I have one daughter who is 4 but have now been trying for 2 years and unfortunately 2 miscarriages in the past. I will be 40 this year so this is our last attempt at having another child.

I don't really know much about it all, my mind seems to blur over when they start talking details....It would be great to get any advice or support from anybody that has been or is going through it.

Thank you

Hi there
I am having IVF in March. We're doing the short protocol though so I am back on the pill at the moment then starting the injections some time at the begining of March.

I'll be 40 in April so this is kind of my last chance (I don't have any kids yet) and am not sure we'll be able to try again with IVF if this fails.

I am reading 'fit for fertility' and also a book called 'the infertility cure' which is all about Chinese medicine and acupuncture etc. Have never been into alternative therapies but am having acupuncture for the first time next week. Are you planning anything like that?

I'm also trying to change my diet (Though have just scoffed down a chinese take-away) and cutting out alcohol and caffine.

There's a really good thread here with lots of people who are starting IVF and other fertility treatments. It's really friendly and has lots of advice. There's probably someone there who will be having their IVF at the same time

Thank you DuelingFanjo

I will have a look at that thread. I have also changed my diet, my weight is ok but I needed to cut out the rubbish in my diet. My husband and I have just cut out red meat, wheat and sugar and trying to stick to lots of fish, fresh fruit the usual. I have cut out booze which isn't such fun....

To be honest I had not thoght about any alternative therapies. I have in the past had a lot of reflexology. I haven't ever tried acupuncture. Is it meant to help whilst going through soemthing this?

I really hope it works for you....
