Hi

DP and I are getting married in May. I'm an old bat at 37 so we're going to TTC straight away.

My pill script runs out at the end of this month. So I had thought about maybe not renewing the prescription and letting my body get back to "normal". I'm on the progesterone only pill and don't have any periods.

For coming off the pill asap:
gives body most time to get back to normal, getting pg is going to take an age anyway

Against:
Might get pg before wedding, much lack of alcohol and dress fitting problems or periods all over the place getting in the way

I can panic either way! Any views?
Thanks
BB

I'd say come off it lovely... You may take time to conceive. Just make sure you start taking your pregnacare vitamins so you've got the folic acid etc in your system just in case.

You may find your hormones go a bit mental of course to begin with. Take some evening primose oil to help there imo.

Congrats on the wedding though, hope it all goes well x

Right, I think I'm going to do it.

I'm already taking folic acid and I've bought some agnus cactus (think that's the stuff) which I read helps regulate cycles. So I'll add evening primrose to the list.

Thanks

And if you're worried about getting pregnant before the wedding while your're getting back to normal off the pill you could always use the lovely condoms for a bit? Not much fun but....
