Lady thanks for being positive but no achy boobs or anything! 10 days late kinda adds insult to injury!

big {{hug}} debs and Clure so sorry for your losses.

reallygrumpy hope your feeling better now, you must have got a huge fright, my son is asthmatic and it frightens the life out of me when he gets an attack, lukily I have learned not to panic over the years. Think your right your body probably is telling you to slow down

fairy how have you been? try not to worry about discharge ladys right it could be nothing

lady how are you?

hi to everyone else? xxx

KiwiKat · 30/03/2010 00:00

Evening ladies, just popping on, after rather an extended time away, to say that, while Clomid didn't work for us, IVF did, and edd is 29th November. Hang in there, everyone - if it can happen for me, it can happen for all of us!

Sending fertile thoughts to you all. x

CareBear1 · 30/03/2010 08:10

big hugs Debs and Clure, so sorry for your losses. tis too true that life is too short.

many congrats KiwiKat - nice of you to come back and tell us, it always perks me up to hear that 'one of us' has got pg!

reallygrumpy I've tried accupuncture - I liked it and definately felt great afterwards. It was quite expensive though so have stopped going regularly - I think the best part for me was the relaxation and being forced to lie still for an hour whilst not doing anything - I've tried to carry that on with baths, massages etc. I've also given up alcohol - it worked for Zoe Ball! - and caffeine but not managed wheat and sugar so good for you. I just like the feeling that being healthy gives and can only help it happen and get our bodies ready eh? A lady at work who is pg (one of the many!) had given up caffeine.

Well I haven't been on so much lately partly as I'm trying to chill out about the whole thing a bit more and partly as I've been doing a fair bit of exercise in the evenings now (partly inspired by Clure - thanks love) - I've rejoined swimming club twice a week, and also still go netball once or twice a week which is great fun. last night played tennis with a work colleague for the first time in years (and in the rain) was hilarious and really perked me up. Have decided that exercise makes me feel happy and relaxed so am trying to think about that and think positively about life in general and not think about what I haven't got which is really me just trying to do Ven's thing of positive thinking! I've also been peeing on sticks again this month and saw the LH surge on saturday - makes me feel better knowing where i am in my cycle - the ovulation part seems to be working so no idea what the problem is but anyhoo,

sorry to go on. hope life's treating you all ok in other ways,

lots of humongous easter egg baby dust to you all. x x x

stac14 · 30/03/2010 09:24

congrats kiwikat fantastic news. How have you been feeling?

really i used hypnotherapy as i felt i was in some sort of mental block, wasnt goin for ttc but discussed what was going on in my life and she just added it into the session. It too is expensive.

Just a suggestion for ladies who fancy accupuncture or reflexology, why not contact your local college? They are cheaper as your assisting with practice. Also when my friend was studying hollistic therapies she needed a case study so if you don't mind sharing a bit of info you could get the treatment free on a regular basis. Worth a call.

care nice to hear from you, glad to see your onto positive thinking. Wish i was into exercise too but i get bored with exercise. But i love walking so i started doing that, lifted my mood and helped me loose some weight x

Ladybird10 · 30/03/2010 16:36

Fairy not everyone gets sore boobs in early pg apparently but i know what you mean though as i hardly every get achy boobs and when i'm late for af i always wish that they would be sore because then that would give me hope that i'm pg, if that makes sense
Anyway like i said your still not out this month, i'm trying to stay positive for you, i'm never positive myself, at least you have IVF as the next step.

Clure i was meant to say sorry about your dh nan in the last post, hope he is ok xxx

Congrats kiwi how exciting for you, have you found out If your having more than 1? Was this your first IVF?

Stac i'm ok thanks, af finished on Sunday, i've started getting pains in my right ovary where the cyst is, it does my head in as every month i get the same pain almost everyday throught my cycle, wish it would just go away.
Hope your sleeping better now?

reallygrumpy · 30/03/2010 18:50

stac14 - thanks for the suggestion about contacting a local college, I'm going to look into that as acupuncture is quite expensive.

Kiwi - congrats! I love hearing positive stories, it helps me stay upbeat.

Fairy - I'm in the same frustrating position as you, AF now 10 days late and pg tests have been negative. I rang the clinic today and they said to wait another week and then if there's still no sign of AF then they'll get me in for tests... Feeling annoyed! But I'm going to try my new meditation CD this eve so hopefully I'll be calm and stress-free!

Fairygodmother1 · 30/03/2010 19:02

Congrats Kiwi!!!! Lady Think it's me out this month as the bit of brown gunge is now darker & more sorry for tmi

really good luck with the meditation - maybe thats what I need!

How is everyone?

lady still overtired but starting to catch up a bit, thanks for asking hun. Hope the pain eases soon. Have you told doc about it?

fairy soz your out hun, is it defo af?

No probs really my friend had a woman with fertility problems as her case study for reflexology, obviously she couldnt go into much detail but she did get pregnant. Defo check the college.

How's everyone doing? Not long till hols yay. Dp has a virus thing so i'm avoiding him like the plague, which is making him feel worse as usually i take care of him but to scared to go near him. Anyone any plans for the hols? X

Fairygodmother1 · 30/03/2010 20:12

Stac I think it's def af on the horizon, although no pain yet! I've had a few niggles around my hips which felt similar to ovulation pain. I really don't think I'm pg. I feel like I'm fooling myself every month that it's gonna happen!

So how is everyone? fairy how ya feeling hun?
Good luck to all ttc xxx

Fairygodmother1 · 30/03/2010 21:08

aw {{hugs}} fairy so sorry for the whats happening at the mo wish there was some way i could help.

becky thats wonderful news so happy for you and your family. Must be such a relief, could take some stress from you for ttc x

Ladybird10 · 31/03/2010 16:20

Stac i have told the doctor that it causes me pain and all i'm told is to take painkillers as they don't think the cyst is a problem, it never used to cause pain everyday though but now i'm suffering most days, couldn't sleep last night because of it so might mention it when i start iui.

Fairy hope af hasn't started and the reason your having brown cm is because your pg. I know it's so hard and i feel like throwing in the towel some days but i can't ever imagine myself not being a mum, i'm just hoping that iui works for us, i'm trying to stay positive and ven has now given me hope that one day it will happen as she took over 3 years and got her BFP.

Becky congrats on winning the court case, you and your dp must be over the moon. Sounds like the children are much better off with you and your dp.

Hope everyone is ok?

Fairygodmother1 · 31/03/2010 19:54

Def af. Although not painful this month.
Can't wait for this break - running on empty! My boss wanted to send me home sick this afternoon but I held on. Looking forward to two weeks off!

How is everyone? On another thread they've got children puking due to viruses, hope everyone on here is good.

hey fairy you must be glad the hols are here. Soz af got you. What you up to for the hols? I haven't made many plans yet.

Hows everyone else? clure any word from the cons? X

Clure · 01/04/2010 22:32

hi,

fairy - its good to be on hols isn't it? What a term!!
stac - how are you doing/ Have emailed Guys, no news will give them a call now I have a moment to breathe!
Becky - congratulations, lovely to hear some good news!
kiwi - fantastic, so pleased that ivf worked for you, gives us hope!
carebear - so glad you got back into the swing of the exercise, it certainly gives me a massive boost, well done
hi lady - hope you are ok and not in too much pain with the ovaries. I used to have severe ovary pain, it really drags you down

we had major hassles with our car (long boring story but basically DH and I have been really stupid in forgetting to renew policies etc- now rectified) anyway upshot of that and with DH having to go to funeral is having to slightly change Easter plans but at least DD will get to see her lovely welsh side of the family for a few days. Just got back from a spin class and going to try to do another long run tomorrow in prep for my half marathon in (oh oh) 2 weeks
enjoy the start of the long weekend everyone xxxxxxxxxxxxx creme egg dust xxxxxxxxxx

Ladybird10 · 02/04/2010 16:01

Hi All

Fairy sorry af got you, it's horrible isn't it, you put in so much effort with the bd'ing, so much more than i do, i'm just getting fed up of doing it at the right time of the month so i'm not to bothered this month as we have 3 goes at iui so having a break from trying to seduce dp, if the 3 iui's don't work then i will start making an effort again. Glad your not in to much pain though.

Clure the ovary pain really does drag me down sometimes, haven't had it for the last couple of days which is good. Hope Guys get back to you soon, hopefully you'll be lucky with IVF.

Hope everyone has a lovely easter weekend, shame the weather is a bit pants.

xxxx

Fairygodmother1 · 02/04/2010 20:52

Hi all,

Looks like this month's af is shorter so be back to BDing in no time lol. Gonna give cons a call on Tues & see whats happening with the referral.

Weighed myself today & def keeping myself under the 14st mark so I need to get losing the weight again & see if I can hit into the 12sts!

DH & I rowed last night. He went off to work in a total sulky mood although totally his fault. He's talking again to me now!

Yes Clure what a term. Got bits for next term to email you & your partner for next term. Hope it helps.

Thanks Lady but maybe I'm trying too hard (not sure what that means). Speaking with my sister today & I almost want to go through the IVF with a higher chance of twins so then there'd be two & that would need to be it. Like i said on another thread - 1 is really all I want now after 2 1/2 years of trying, 2 would be a miracle!!!!

Ladybird10 · 04/04/2010 14:46

Hi All

Happy Easter (esmile)

Fairy hope the row with dh wasn't to bad, has af finished? I know people can say maybe your trying to hard but surely you can't try to hard, i definately need to try harder as i know twice a week isn't enough but i get fed up of it, last month we did it loads round ovulation and it still didn't work. It's a pain in the arse.

We did an easter hunt for dp's kids which was fun. Glad the sun has come out.
