Decided this month to up the dedication to the cause.. I'm taking pregnacare conception vitamins anyway, but is there anything else suggested to improve fertility?

Likewise for my DH?

Have had a look around the internet but there are so many different things recommended that I don't know where to start.

Any suggestions gratefully received!

Hiya

I have been taking Santogen mother to be tablets for about 3months+, and DP started taking the Santogen Father to be vitamins 2 weeks ago, got nothing to lose.

Whats your situation at the mo?

Hi Freeasabird

Trying to conceive my 1st, and his 3rd, and it's our 5th month of trying. Just thinking that every little bit helps really. DH is 45 (I'm a bit younger) and we have a reasonable lifestyle.. Neither of us smoke (anymore!) could probably both stand to lose a few pounds and get more excercise and cut down on the wine. All of which are also being addressed as well.

I read that Iron tablets are good for female fertility and so I've given them a stab, and also got Wellman conception and Pregnacare Conception.

We eat a reasonable range of healthy foods but every bit helps I should think!

They are a total con.

Decent diet and exercise and good luck.

Hope it happens soon for you.

Well the pregnacare ones have folic acid in, so that's worthwhile if nothing else!

Yeah i mean you have nothing to lose taking vitamins, most healthy foods are rich in them, but its best to get dosed up on folic acid i guess, best for baby!

I think when your TTC, there's only so much wishing you can do, it will happen when it wants to *thats what im telling myself anyhoo, so I dont get my hopes up...

Oh cool, good luck with TTC your first.xxx
