Four weeks after mc but no AF

Had v early mc (4+3, probably technically a chemical pregnancy?) on Jan 1.

So now on CD28 (assuming you count first day of mc) of normally 27 to 28-day cycle. Would swear I ov'd on day 14 (had EWCM, pain in right area, everything).

No AF yet, but had cramps and slightly sore norks. This is v little help because I get that before I'm pg, too.

Tested this afternoon (after drinking lots of tea) with eBay cheapie and got BFN.

Should just give up hope now, I know. But is it worth trying a CB test tomorrow or something? Would an ebay cheapie be reliable on the day AF due, but mid-afternoon?

Hi. Sorry to hear your problems. This is only an assumption but I would think that as your loss was so early the pg did not have time to get established and therefore didn't release much hgc into your body. Otherwise you may have still been getting a positive result on your pg test. So that is a good thing which means your body has adjusted back and have every chance of conceiving this month. On the other hand (and this has happenend to me 3 times) I did not have a period for quite along time after my m/c's but everyone is different.

I would suggest sitting on your hands for a couple more days, then test with a c/b for first response early pg test.

I think your theory sounds right - certainly it's what I'd assumed.

I am such an idiot, I do know that even if I have ov'd and DTD at the right time it's no guarantee, I think I'm just desperate to 'fix' the situation by getting pg again.

Sigh. Sorry for your losses, one is bad enough so 3 must have been heart-breaking.

I know the feeling. It's something you don't want to keep thinking about but every month and it sort of becomes a chore! I wish I could be one of those people that didn't have to think about it. I overheard someone yesterday saying that "1 & 2 were planned but this one wasn't!" (she was a pg lady). I wish. My friend's got 3 kids - none of them planned - lucky lady!!

I had an mmc at 12 weeks and needed an op to remove everything. The op was on Nov 5th and I have only had one visit from AF since then. It came about 6, nearly 7 weeks after the mc.

I know it's really difficult but it will help if you can trust that your body is doing the right thing for itself. A lot of women who have been through such a trauma find their cycles are all over the place. Or you may have the good news of having conceived. Either way, there is nothing wrong or abnormal with your body. It just takes time.

And if you don't get AF soon then do another test or go to your GP to get a blood test whch will be much more accurate
