Please come and talk some sense into me - not TTC but having an 'am I pg' moment

Sorry for the rambling, am having a bit of a moment!

I ran out of pills before Christmas, have only just got round to renewing my prescription this week. Have done the deed a few times but with condoms. I am dreadful at remembering when AF is due, but I?m sure I haven?t been on since Christmas; DH swears blind I?ve had one this year but I really can?t remember (I have to try and remember what we?ve been up to, eg. we were in Nandos two weeks ago, was I on then??!). Anyway, my cycles are generally quite short, about 23-24 days so I should be on now really?. Obviously not TTC right now hence me being so lax about knowing my cycles.

Before you say it, I know I should just test but I am absolutely skint and can?t afford to buy a test until tomorrow so I am stewing now and have developed a mad symptom spotting paranoia. Am peeing more (but pee a lot anyway), am bloated (but have been eating loads of chocolate recently), feel light headed and tired (but have 11mo DS who got up at 5am today so no surprise there), and I?ve had slight period type pains this morning ? I never get pains before AF appears, always after ? the only time I ever got cramps without AF was when I last got pregnant. I?ve also got that horrid dragging sensation in my inner thighs that I get during AF. But no AF.

Seriously, what would you do? If you were me, and still no Af tomorrow, would you test???

Think you should test, supermarkets sell their own brand tests for about £4 for 2, much cheaper than the branded ones and from my experience work just as well. Either way at least then you'll know and can stop stressing about the am I aren't I and start stressing about the I am, am not instead! I actually tested yesterday as I've been feeling a bit sick and have lower back pain, which is how I new I was pregnant the last 2 times, I'm not though, which I was actually a little disappointed by which is weird as we're not ttc at the moment!

It does all sound like you might be, but relax until you take the test, you can't change the outcome now anyway. Hope you get the result you want.

Thank you for your calming words... it wouldn't be that bad, it's just that DS is only 11mo and we still live in a flat with no lift. If circumstances were different I'd be considering trying again so I have very mixed feelings either way!!

I think I'm geeting a cold which might explain away some of it. Oh well. We shall see!

Well, I don't know if this helps, but when I got unexpectedly pregnant with ds, dd was also only 10 months, and we were also living in a 2 bed flat with no lift in the centre of Edinburgh! Although we did move when ds was about 12 months old, we did manage, and pulling a double buggy up 3 flights of stairs sure kept me fit!

It does help - it's nice to know people do manage!!

Still no AF. A teeny, tiny part of me would love to be pregnant again, whilest the other 99% knows I am being daft.

I know how you feel! Although you'll only really know how you feel once you do the test and see if you're relieved, disappointed, scared, happy or all of those!
