Not pregnant but no period

Hi ladies

I am about 8 days late for AF- which always comes between 19th and 21st of the month. I had this about 6 months ago where my period just did not turn up. I have done 2 HPTs both neg and am having no symptoms. It is really not likely I've conceived this month.

Has anybody else has this- a period that just doesn't happen? Tis very odd....

Yep, before ttc my cycles were 30-31 days long. When ttc DS my cycles went 35, 42, 54, BFP (would have been 33).

It could be that something has delayed ovulation - like an illness, stress, travelling. And your period will come late. Can you think of anything that happened around three weeks ago that could have caused this?

Or this could be an anovulatory cycle, which most women get at least once a year, where you don't ovulate at all.

If your period doesn't turn up in a week's time, test again.

Hi loupyloo2. I have just experienced similar. AF was due on 20th Jan. Have been testing with Ebay cheapies (all -tive, forever hoping they might be duds) until AF arrived last night, a week late. Feel such a fool as I've spent the entire month thinking I might be preggers. I would think your AF will arrive sooner or later, especially as you say you are not experiencing any symptoms. I really should know the real symptoms by now as ttc #3 but still...

I had the same experince at the beginning of last year where i didnt have a period for two months, i took about 6 pregnancy tests, and then on the 7th go it came back positive and i now have a beautiful 9 week girl. It turns out that the first missed one was due stress moving house and the 2nd i had actually concieved lol :0
