I have been trying for a baby for 6 months. I have PCOS so i have to take clomid, a fertility treatment. I had no problems with this when i concieved my DD who is now 20months.
Last month i did not start my period without the help of another drug and when it eventually came i had a day of spotting and 1 day of bleeding, this was quite unusual as it normally last about 5 days.

Me and my husband have really tried this month to to try and concieve aiming and have been doing the deed every other day to cover ovulation, i really thought we might have been sucessful this month as we got day 9,11,12,14 and 16.
By day 20 out of the blue i suddenly started gushing with blood and 2 days on i am still bleeding quite heavy so i dont think ite implantaion bleeding of anything as hopeful as that.

Does anyone know what this could be or why my cycle has gone completely weird even tho im on tablets??any help or advice would be thankflly recieved

Possibly you ovulated earlier than usual because you're last period wasn't really a period it was just your body trying to rid itself of womb lining that hadn't really built up. Sounds like it made up for it this time.

If the bleeding is painful or uncontrollable and continues you should call nhs direct as it might be something else.

I had an mc in nov and my first period afterwards wasn't anything like my normal period. It came only 2 weeks after the mc bleeding stopped was brown, very light and only lasted 3-4 days. The following period came on day 24 (still v early for me) and was much heavier. Changing pads/tampons every couple of hours for 2-3 days before it eventually stopped on day 8.

If you're taking Clomid you should speak to whoever has prescribed this for you.

I would seek medical advice asap re the bleeding, are you being monitored whilst on clomid?. You should be monitored otherwise there is no way of telling if it is working or not. Its actually quite powerful stuff and it is not always a treatment of choice for all PCOSers. Its main job is to make the ovaries work harder.

Do not put pressure on yourselves unduly, make love when you both feel like it. Two or three times a week throughout your cycle is fine.

I note that you had spotting last month too, this should be investigated to ascertain the cause. Often it is not serious but it should all the same be checked out properly.
