Quick question re periods and pregnancy tests

Thought I was pregnant last week as I felt sick every day, came on period last Friday and it finished yesterday but started again today very lightly. I normally bleed 5-7days with 4 days heavy, So this is a light period fro me although the first day was heavy with cramps which i normally dont get.
Is there still a chance that I could be pregnant? I have one test left which I am trying to hold back from using. I am supposed to be going on a girls night this weekend and think maybe I should test because I dont want to drink if i am.
Has anyone tested pregnant when bleeding?
Is it possible?

Did I test + when bleeding? No. However I did several days later. My periods are exactly like yours, and I bled enough to think it was a period (didn't bleed at all with DS) and I wasn't pregnant, but it was light enough and short enough to think it very strange one, and I kept feeling pregnant, so I finally broke down and used my last test 10 days later and got a very strong positive, and am now counting down till bump's arrival. Hope you do get a + if you are looking to be pregnant.

Yes I want a baby

Thought my periods stopped on Sunday but yesterday and today it has come back here and there very lightly at times totally stopping.

I feel sick and then better after I eat, I am hungry big time and normally have hunger pangs just before period is due not at the end of it. But saying that I never felt hungry untik I was 6mths pregnant with dd1 but I know you can have different symptoms each time.

Well I have one test left, so I will try and hold out until the end of the week. But I wonder if traces of blood in the urine would effect the result if I done it now?

Lovecoloud - The test works by finding the presence of the HCG hormone..... only produced if pregnant. But can still be present if you recently miscarried .... hope thats not the case!

So blood won't effect the result.... so go for it.

Oh and by the way CONGRATULATIONS and I wish you a happy, safe and fast delivery. I know about 5 people who havw just had their 2nd baby and all of them have been wonderful births - just what we want to hear. Most were about 2 hours! One lasy had her baby at home and said it was a lovely experience, the midwives made her feel so relaxed and at ease, they even gave her foot massages, after the baby was born, they helped her bathe and when she cam back down they have tidied up and dressed the baby.

I have one of those cheap ultra sensitive tests from ebay, one left and its burning a hold in my drawer.

Because it is cheap, you wonder if it is any good. Its does say to increase the chances of a correct result to test in the morning when the hcg levels are at their highest.

If I am honest I really do feel pregnant, last week the sickness feeling started and it has not gone away only when I eat, I have kind of got used to it now.

I have done two tests and got BFN last week so I dont want to waste another one.

I think tomorrow morning I will do it as my light period would of def finished. If I am how far would i be, i think my last period before this one started about the 3rd June, and this period started 1st July.

You would be 4 weeks + 4 days pg.

i would buy another test brand just to be sure or go to the docs...

its ridiculous but i just want to enjoy today thinking i am 4 weeks and 4 days pregnant before i test in the morning to get yet another BFN!

am i mad?

it would be even more mad if i got a BFP!

lovecloud, I am in the same boat as you, i had my 1st AF 26th May (after last depo inj in Dec 04)and then another AF 7th June, I have been feeling pregnant for nearly 3 weeks, i have had very sore, feeling full and sometimes itchy boobs, tired and also slight stomach cramps. i did one of the cheap pg test from ebay 12 days ago and was BFN, i also have one test left and am thinking of using test tomorrow. If + would be very happy, and would be 4 wks + 1 day

hi i had 2 periods while pg with my son but they were lighter and the first month i had tested and it showed negative so there is always hope hun

i would wait until fri and test

AF showed itself this morning , still shows body getting back to normal after depo inj, lovecloud, did you do your test this morning, or are you going to wait for Friday, Good Luck

hello gailey - went to bed last night convinced I am. soon as i woke this morning ran into bathroom and done test... BFN

my body really is playing mind games with me, I am soooooooo hungry, tired, feel sicky and so sensitive to smells.

so annoying!

lovecloud - i had all my normal pg symptoms a few weeks ago and was convinced and did loads of tests, they were all BFN, and i didn't believe them, i really thought i was, then AF arrived. our bodys like playing tricks on us, i was gutted. I really hope that you are pg, good luck.

Diddle - i was the same, had loads of pg signs then AF came along.

Lovecloud - Sorry to hear about BFN, things could still happen, until AF arrives.
