Endometrial hyperplasia or polyps

I just gave birth 8 months ago and everything seemed fine until last month when I stopped breastfeeding completely.

My menstruation lasted for a long time (still in progress.. after 20 + days).

When I consulted my gynea who helped int he delivery of our baby, she diagnosed me as having either endometrial hyperplasia or polyps and recommended a D&C.

When I asked if D&C would resolve the issue and have any impact on further pregnancies, she gave brushed me off, saying to wait and see. (I'm getting second opinions etc).

My questions are:

  1. Has anyone else experienced this after having stopped breastfeeding? (I'm hoping for a miracle that it is normal and will get better)

  2. if it is indeed endometrial hyperplasia or polyps, how did you resolve/control this?

  3. Also, has anyone with these conditions go on to have successful pregnancies?

Thanks

I had both. Not after breastfeeding etc though. I had ebrasions and polyps removed and then was on the pill for 18 months which held it at bay.

I am now TTC and there does appear to be problems but not neccessarily linked to the hyperplasia.
