I'm probably not the first to discover this, but it works out cheaper than buying the whole smiley face kit every month!

Thanks Silverboots - I have wondered about this also - but the only thing I thought about was that with the CBFM test sticks when you start to hits highs/peak, the estrogen line goes lighter and the LH goes darker so if the estrogen line is meant to be the control line when you use them on the CB OV test then you may get a false positive if that line is lighter than normal when you're surging compared to a LH line that is getting darker but not as dark as it would be if your LH was peaking iyswim?? ie you may be getting a smiley face well before you actually ovulate? That's assuming the CB digital OV test works by comparing the LH line to the control line.

That's a good point points! but ...

My experiment - I had 'highs' on my CBFM & no smiley face on the CB ov test. When I had a 'peak' on CBFM I had a 'smiley face' on the CB ov test. (I used the CB ov test mid morning & mid afternoon with the CBFM sticks).

(Of course, Mr & Mrs ClearBlue would prefer us to buy a new kit every month though!! & encourage nutters like me to experiment in this way)

i like your experiment! I have an old CB ov test holder and also the CBFM - what this means is that I will not only be shoving those damned sticks into my CBFM but also doing sticks with my CB ov. But then again, I have always thought the one flaw in the CBFM is that you only get to test once a day!
