Hello,

(Those of you who've not come across me before - ttc 2 and a half years, pcos, metformin, overweight, waiting for clomid).

Since my HSG two months ago I have had two periods - both have been very heavy for about a day and a half and then tailed off into nothing so that by 48 hours after the started they were finished. Is this normal? Any thoughts?

Thanks for any help.

x

Sounds quite normal to me. Mine used to last only two days until I had my DD...

mine only last a couple of days too, give or take the odd bit of spotting, although I am sure they used to be longer, and I am sure they are less heavy these last few months (didn't used to pay as much attention as I do now though!), no idea if its normal or not or what it might indicate though...

oh - just realised I posted something on your other thread too

My periods were like this as well, think its because of PCOS.

Thanks all. May mention it to consultant at my appt just in case as it's changes.

Has this only started happening since the HSG? If so then I would say that's worth investigating. Mine have got shorter (I am also a long term TTCer) as I have got older but didn't get noticibly shorter since I had the HSG.

hi again duelingfanjo - yes had two periods since hsg (sob - I was hping I would be one the ones with increased fertility after hsg!) and both been heavy but less than 48 hours.
