Hello, Starting IVF on Thursday and have a few questions which i thought someone might be able to help me with. Firstly what happens when. I start tablets on 14 nasal on 16 then blood test on 2 feb (what's this for?) injections start on 12 with a scan on 19th but how long can I expect to be injecting. ANd how bad will the different medicins make me feel. Secondly what are you able to do - they have said do 'your normal activities' but can this include going on a plane, sking etc.. as think it would be a good idea to try and distract ourselves from the schedule. Any help grately appreciated as feeling a little in the dark.

Hiya. The blood test will probably be to see if your system is shutting down properly before you start injecting.

Injecting - probab;y 14 days but if you're producing masses of eggs may be less, ewqually if none are big enough to remove may take longer.

Everyone reacts differently to the drugs. I was a bit irritable and felt as though I had PMT while on the inhaler. Just had a bit of a tummy ache immediately before collectioh. Don't know about flying. don'ty see whyt not but try calling your hospital - a nurse should be able to help.

Good luck

Hi
Firstly good luck with you ivf. I have had 3 cycles now and went off to turkey whilst on the down regulation stage of the 2nd cycle. Done us the world of good and the end result was my gorgeous 3 year old ds.
Some people get no symptoms, some get headaches, for me it was kind of like pmt if I am honest. It can be a bit of a rollercoaster but the best advice I can give is take one day at a time and try not to think too far ahead.
I always thought I wont do anything that I would not do if I was pregnant so no drinking and so on.
Wish you all the very best of luck.
