My period is two days late, and yet I took a pregnancy test this morning and it was negative... I kind of have period pains, though they are slight and usually they KILL me!

I've been trying for a baby, and the idea that I am pregnant would be the best news in the entire world :p but I feel like I should probably put this month down as a negative??

For two weeks i've felt faint, had 'period' pains and funny shooting pains in my stomach...

Basically, a negative pregnancy test this late means no... right?

Not necessarily. Two days isn't very late, anything up to 8 days variation is still considered a normal regular cycle, so even if you'd consider yourself to be very regular you could still have a week to go before you're 'late' IFYSWIM.
Wait another three days or so, if no period test again, and again in another three days.

apparently you should wait to test 19 days after you last had sex....
I'm also 2 days late, and am going to wait until Sunday.

thanks - am a bit in shock and keen for the next few weeks to rush by. Last pg ended in MMC at 13 weeks, so a bit more cautious now.
