Anyone else waiting to TTC?

We are planning to TTC DC3 from September this year(at least it is this year now) but I am so broody it is unbelievable!! I am on the pill but only have 2 months left so I'm going to start tracking my cycle when they run out.

We have 2 boys already so we are giving the Shettles method for a girl a shot. We would love another boy so if it doesn't work then we aren't bothered.

Main reason for waiting is that DS1 was born in March and DS2 was born in December so we would quite like for the next one to be due between June and October so they are roughly spaced out.

So is there anyone dying to start ttc now but has to wait?

Me. DD is about to turn 2 and we have been planning dc2 since then really. So we told ourselves January 2010 to start ttc. Then my dad booked us all onto a ship to New York in August and I can't go if I'm more than 24 weeks pregnant so we're holding off ttc till April. The ironic thing is, the exact same thing happened in 2007, with the ship and the holding off ttc till April! Here we are in the exact same situation again. DD happened on the first attempt hence the Jan birthday. Who knows what'll happen this time...

Frustrating, isn't it?

It is really frustrating. DH said we could start a few weeks ago but I really need to lose weight too.

The trip to New York sounds really good.

We are due to start Clomid in Feb.

We are trying our best now though.

I wanted to wait for a period in january then start the medication on Feb BUT i just cant wait, i cant so ive started now.

I hope it doesn't take us too long once we all reach our TTC starting time.

it IS exciting, everytime i think about 2010 i get a fuzzy feeling in my tummy because maybe, by Christmas, we may have a little baby (or triplets eeek)

I did think this morning that thinking that we are TTC this year does make it sound so much closer.

How do you plan to get the weight off?

Im doing an Atkins type thing, bars from the internet. Managed to lose 10lbs between Aug and Oct last year with that so going to continue from Monday.

Got a couple of stone to get off.

I am doing Weight Watchers. I need to lose 5 stone really. I put it on with DS1 and just never lost it.

DS2 was 10lb 5oz and I wonder if my weight contributed to it so I want to lose as much as I can before august. I am starting on Monday.

Each time i have concieved, its been while i am losing weight,so i am quite hopeful will concieve quickly.

Hello all, we are going to TTC from Feb as I am off to wine country in SA last 2 weeks of Jan! We TTC last year but I m/c in August so fingers crossed everything goes well next time.

I would love to start TTC but we're getting married later this year (have been together for 8+ years).. Sometimes I think we should TTC right now and then just see what happens. Pregnant and showing at the wedding - any thoughts? I'd be fine with this but am sure it would be a discussion point!

Bexaa are we TTC twins? let's hope for smaller babies next time. I don't fancy another big big baby.

Littleone, I don't think I would care about being pg on my wedding day. I was pg with DS1 on our wedding day but I had only found out the day before. So I wasn't showing. At least if people know you are pg you won't have to keep hiding champagne etc.

Libra, you holiday sounds good. Fingers crossed that everything goes well for you.

How happy would you feel on the day - getting married with a little one on the way? Realistically, I think we will start TTC a few months before the big day so, fingers crossed, we are in the same situation you were in with DS1. I couldn't imagine anything better.

I was pregnant on my wedding day, I wasn't showing but did look fatter than I thought I would be on my wedding day!!! The plus side was I had a cleavage!

I don't think there are. Try googling for twin old wives tales. I would also love twins but I think it would
mean saying goodbye to a homebirth. Plus I would need a bigger house.

Littleone, it was ok except for the constant stream
of drinks people were getting me. We also ended up with 15 bottles of champagne.

getting married in Nov/Dec. We still need to set a date but know it will be late in 2010. So still have a few months before TTC. I came off the pill after being on it for about 11 years in late Nov 2009 and my period started today. I was worried about my body going back to normal after being on it for so long so my period starting after about 30 something days is a huge relief. I just hope things continue relatively normally for the next few months..

Bexaa - we should similar in that we're having our first AF post birth/coming off the pill and are tracking..!

I think I might come of the pill when this pack finishes. I want about 6 months of tracking my cycle so I know what is going on.

I read this thread and wondered if I could join in?

We are planning to TTC for number 1 later this year, so far I keep chopping and changing when but I think maybe September. I also have weight to loose first so I joined WW last week.

Its all very exciting, though I was diagnosed with endometriosis a few years ago now when I was still at Uni. Havent had any obvious problems with it for years but wonder whether I need to get anything like that checked out before we TTC?
