Don't know whether to hope I am - or hope I'm not

I missed my most fertile times this month, thought I probably wasn't pg and knew AF due today.

Did tests on Christmas Day and Boxing Day - First response, both BFN - so had a couple of glasses of wine each day.

Today, no sign of AF, the ususal bloating etc, VERY faint line on the test this morning (DH claimed he couldn't see it but I'm sure I did, and within the 3 mins).

Desperately want to be pg, but with the drinks the last few days am not sure if I should hope to be. Eeeek...

the drinking makes no difference pre implantation, don't worry about it. even if you drank a glass or two after implantation, it is highly highly highly unlikely to cause any probs

fingers crossed it is a BFP!

stillfrazzled · 27/12/2009 11:44

That's what I thought and hoped, but can you tell when implantation occurs?

In interests of not drip-feeding, should 'fess that I have had a glass of wine or two (or three, on two occasions) most nights in last two weeks. Would never have done so if thought there was chance of being pg. Although hopefully this was pre-implantation even if I am PG and won't count.

Thanks, BTW, am starting to breeeeathe again. Though will probably come on from all the worry

Before i found out i was pg with DD i had been to an 18th birthday party and spent the night doing shots of sambuca. I would have been about 4weeks pg. I told the Dr and she had no worries about it whatsoever. My DD is 2 now and a robust little thing

StealthPolarBear · 27/12/2009 11:55

Hope you are pg
Honestly, it will be fine! If you had been 'good' it would have been in vain

skihorse · 27/12/2009 12:10

There is no issue with alcohol at such an early stage in your pregnancy.

stillfrazzled · 27/12/2009 16:12

Really, skihorse? Could you link to something reassuring for me?

...because I just did a CB digital and it says PREGNANT 1-2 WEEKS!

I am sitting here with the biggest grin, and DH is at the pub watching footy and won't be back for two hours...

awww congratscongratscongrats you lucky girl!!!!!!!! just dropped by to say YAY

bearcrumble · 27/12/2009 16:59

Congratulations!

I understand that it isn't so important very early on as the cells haven't taken on specialist roles yet, they are just dividing and are all stem cells pretty much.

I am sure you will be fine.

What a fab christmas present..congrats

hippopo · 28/12/2009 10:13

Big congratulations just read the whole thread and was really pleased to see you were. How was DH when you told him?

Your story is so similar to a lot of my friends and they have all had healthy babies so as long as you stop drinking now you know there is nothing to worry about.

Congratulations again

stillfrazzled · 30/12/2009 09:00

Thank you all

DH very pleased, although is not letting me tell anyone yet. Meanie. Was dying to tell family (parents, brother and sister) while we were all together, but he's right, they'd just worry for next two months.

Is the strangest feeling, I can't realise it at all yet...
