Worth buying Clearblue test?

Have been using the cheapie eBay tests (far too many of them ) and so far BFNs.

Am on CD22, so Christmas Day will be CD24. WOuld like to know just because if it's good news I'd love to tell DH that day, but would also like to have a drink with a clear conscience if I'm not. Will my cheapie test give me an accurate result that day? If not, is it worth spending the big bucks on the CB?

TIA

How long's your cycle?

Those ebay cheapies are as reliable, if not more reliable when used earlier, than a lot of other branded tests.

I have tested in two pregnancies as positive 5 days before my period was due with ebay cheapies.

Personally, wouldn't buy a Clearblue unless you're rich as a rich thing and like buying expensive things to wee on.

Cycle is 27 days as far as I can tell, but this is only third month since Mirena removed so things still settling down.

Am feeling a bit downcast and thinking that if I was pg it would have shown up this morning.

FR are very reliable early and are buy one get one free in boots at the mo.

hope you get a lovely BFP for Christmas.

FR are supposed to be reliable and I know a lot of people are fond of them. They are no more sensitive than the ebay ones though and I didn't get a positive with them until my period was late, even though the ebay ones were obviously positive days before that.

Some women don't show as pg on a test until they are late.

Try not to be too downcast. It's easy for me to say I know but it's early days and either you're pg or you can have a drink and try again in the New Year.

And I think day 22 of a 27 day cycle is still very, very early for a bfp btw.

I bought some Ebay cheapies (that were supposed to detect 10MG of HCG) and they were rubbish, I didn't get a BFP until about 4 days after AF was due.

Got a BFP with clearblue digital the day after AF was due. (didn't try on with one before then)
