Has anyone had a positive preg test a week after ovulation?

Hi All

Myself and Dp are finally trying for number two after 3 years of things getting in the way!! I am very excited but now worried it may not happen as I am nearly 36.

According to clearblue monitor i oV'ed on 14th Dec, we have been trying like mad and i really felt that I may have concieved (but probably all in my head!)I did a test yesterday, which was totally negative, it was way to early i am sure but my excitement got the better of me.

Just wondering if there is still a chance i may be pregnant, has anyone else tested this early and got a negative but gone onto get a positive later in the month?

You tested waaaaaaay to early. Even really sensitive tests have trouble detecting hcg at 10dpo. Try again at 10 but to be sure, leave it to 14 and get a definite result.

I started testing way too early too, about a week PO. I had tests that supposedly could detect 10mg HCG, but although got a very faint positive a couple of days before AF was due, it was so faint I wasn't even sure it was there.

Finally got a BFP with a Clearblue digital the day after AF was due. (hadn't tried any tests other than the cheapy 10mg HCG until then)

Thanks for the replies!
I am due on monday ish, although I think I may actually have ov'ed on the 15th/16th despite what bthe monitor said, so that would make me due more like tues as my luteal phase is usually always 14 days.
I have a new preg test but am going to be firm with myself and wait til tues to test (if haven't come on by then!
