Conceived DD with no problems but while we've only been TTC for a few months i'm worried that i may not be ovulating.

Have been using ovulator strips for last 2 months and not had a definate positive yet (had a faint 2nd line last month - which is still classed as negative). Are the strips a waste of money or could i not be ovulating?

Also, brown spotting prior to period starting - read on internet this could be due to hormone imbalance. Anyone had this? Will a doctor take me seriously if I go to them to query this? Would like a blood test to check hormones (could this be why not Ovulating), will they do this do you think or expect us to be TTCing for a year?

Thanks

I think those strips are unreliable on their own as an indicator of ovulation.

Have you tried looking at other signs? Temping? Checking cm?

Haven't checked temp. Have cm but i think its difficult to monitor, maybe i need to give it a go though?

Read Taking Charge of Your Fertility - top book. Also I have the Clearblue digi ovulation sticks. Might be worth a go as they have smiley face and no room for error.
