I should have kept away from the First Response!

TTC #2 for 36 months. I am a compulsive tester and as usual did a test with fmu this morning (cd23) and it was negative.

I felt a bit peculiar, so tested again at midday, 5 hours later (I know, STUPID thing to do, waste of money etc.) It was positive!!!

I rang first response and asked how it could be neg first thing and positive later and they said to wait 48 hours and test again. Of course I didn't, and tested again, with a Boots test at 3pm and that is also showing a faint positive! Can I start to get excited yet??

How long are your cycles?

TwinkleToes76 · 16/12/2009 15:21

I'd say yes! Congratulations

MrsMopple · 16/12/2009 15:56

Cycle length 28 - 31 days, so I tested at the earliest possible opportunity!

I'm being a bit cautious, because the last time I tested positive (Nov 08), it turned out to be a chemical pregnancy, so was over very quickly. That time, though, I tested when my period was late, rather than 5 days eaarly!

Hope you get good news Mrs Mopple

Me too Lilybunny! I'm still testing positive, although a bit faint, but then I'm still a few days from my period. Actually, Wednesday was day 22, not 23. So should I be feeling a bit more secure, seeing as there is obviously a fair bit of Hcg around this early?
