Hi ladies i have the mirana coil and we have decided to ttc in the spring, should i take it out now and let my body get back to 'normal' or is there any need?

Hi Poohbearsmom, I had a Mirena coil which I had removed in Oct 08 and fell pregnant Dec 08 (unfortunately I m/c) My cycle pretty much returned to normal after having it removed, after having two years of no periods at all.

Hope this helps. Good luck with the TTC.

I chose the mirena in between children as you are fertile pretty much straight away after removal.

Hi poohbearsmum I had the mirena in for nearly 5 years, had it taken out in April 08, unfortunatly I miscarried twice, but now have a 3 month old boucning on my knee . So if I was to try again I would have it taken out early and let my body return to normal, although my gp did say that the coil had nothing to do with my mc's. Good luck
